After working several years as a Senior Scientist at a technology and engineering company providing research and development for the Department of Defense, Scott attended Cumberland School of Law, where he graduated with high honors in 2007.

During law school Scott earned “book awards” (given for the highest grade in a course) in Evidence, Secured Transactions, Constitutional Law, Law Office Practice and Management and Municipal Courts Practice and Procedure as well as other awards including the Scholarship of Merit Award, George M. Stewart Banking Award, and Dean’s Spirit of Service Award. Scott participated in the trial training programs and was a member of the Cumberland Law Review and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Upon graduating from law school, Scott returned to Northwest Florida representing insurance companies defending claims for two years and gained experience in civil defense litigation including personal injury, construction law, insurance coverage law, professional liability, corporate transactions, and employer liability. Scott has since focused his practice primarily representing individuals and small businesses against insurance companies and corporate wrongdoers.

Scott joined the firm in 2021. His practice has focused on complex individual and class action litigations. He is currently a member of the firm’s class action department.

Scott is a member of and has served on the executive board of the Escambia/Santa Rosa Bar Association and is a member of the Pensacola Chapter of Inns of Court, the Mobile Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
