Peter Mougey and Family Named Honorary Chairs of 2026 Spartan Soirée

Peter Mougey, a shareholder at Levin Papantonio, and his family have been chosen as the Honorary Chairs for the 2026 Spartan Soirée, St. Paul Catholic School’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

This year’s event, Spartan Soirée: Sunset in Spain, will take place Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center in Pensacola.

As honorary chairs, Peter and the Mougey family will promote the event, engage the Pensacola community, and encourage support for St. Paul Catholic School and its students.

A Special Connection to St. Paul

Supporting St. Paul Catholic School means a lot to the Mougey family. Over the years, the school has been part of many special moments and traditions for them.

Looking back, the Mougey children, now adults, remember everything from PE programs, Halloween carnivals, and talent shows to history and science fairs, student government, and Catholic Schools Week traditions like silly hat and sock day, penny wars, and the student volleyball game against the teachers.

One tradition they always looked forward to was reaching eighth grade and finally getting to sing “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” in the Christmas program.

Their memories go beyond the classroom and school events. They also enjoyed taking part in Mass, whether as readers, choir members, or gift presenters.

These experiences and traditions make being honorary chairs especially meaningful for the Mougey family. It gives them a chance to support the school community that has been important in their lives and to help create similar memories for today’s and future students.

Supporting St. Paul Catholic School

The Spartan Soirée brings together families, supporters, and local businesses for an evening of food, entertainment, and fundraising. This year’s Spanish-themed event will include dinner from Nancy’s Catering & Events, live entertainment, a silent auction, and a live auction hosted by Brent Lane from 98.7 Cat Country.

Proceeds from the 2026 event will support the Whibbs Family Scholarship, which provides tuition assistance to families in need, as well as playground safety and shade improvements, upgrades to library learning spaces, and continued investment in classroom technology.

Last year, the Spartan Soirée raised more than $100,000. Those funds helped provide $20,000 in scholarships, invest $11,000 in campus security, purchase new iPads for elementary students, upgrade sound equipment in Spartan Hall, and provide new desks for fourth- and fifth-grade classrooms.
