Alex Taylor is an attorney and shareholder at Levin Papantonio. His primary area of practice is in pharmaceutical and medical device mass torts litigation. He is currently active in the Covidien Hernia Mesh MDL No. 3029 and Bard Hernia Mesh MDL No. 2846, where he represents individuals who have had severe injuries, including bowel and testicle removal, as a result of defective hernia mesh products. He has gone to trial on several hernia mesh bellwether cases in the Bard Hernia Mesh MDL, where he was part of a trial team that won two critical jury verdicts that lead to settlement of tens of thousands of cases nationwide. He has previously represented plaintiffs in several other major mass tort litigations, including individuals who lost their vision due to their long-term usage of the drug Elmiron, individuals who suffered diabetic ketoacidosis and amputation as a result of their usage of the drug Invokana, and women who experienced severe pain and underwent hysterectomy as a result of their usage of the recalled contraceptive device Essure. He has also litigated numerous other individual product liability and personal injury cases.


Before he joined Levin Papantonio, Alex was an assistant state attorney at the State Attorney’s Office for the First Judicial Circuit in Pensacola, Florida. During his time there, he tried seven cases to jury verdict. He is an alumnus of Florida State University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2016.
