Amanda D. Summerlin is an accomplished attorney with over two decades of experience in complex civil litigation, with a strong concentration in mass torts and multidistrict litigation. She has represented hundreds of plaintiffs in state and federal courts across the country and is known for her meticulous case analysis, strategic litigation management, and deep command of large-scale, medically intensive tort matters.

At Levin Papantonio, Amanda is actively involved in several major national mass tort litigations, including claims against manufacturers of prescription drugs Valsartan and Zantac. In working on these cases, she utilizes her valued experience in navigating MDLs as well as coordinating claims involving a variety of unique medical injuries.

Amanda’s prior career includes significant tenure with respected litigation and defense firms such as Taylor Martino, P.C., Forman Watkins Krutz & Tardy, LLP, and Maron Marvel Bradley & Anderson LLC. She has served as both partner and director, managing national asbestos dockets, defending depositions, conducting motion practice, overseeing detailed reporting for corporate clients, and negotiating settlements for multiple defendants on local and national scales. Her background also includes corporate counsel work involving commercial real estate, drafting and negotiating contracts, and facilitating 1031 exchanges. Amanda is also a licensed real estate broker in Mississippi.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University with a B.B.A. in General Business. Amanda is admitted to the bars of Alabama, Mississippi, New York, and Pennsylvania. Her professional recognition includes Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating, selection to Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Stars (2012–2017), and recognition as a Super Lawyer every year since 2018. She is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice, the Mississippi Association for Justice, and the Alabama Association for Justice, and has served on multiple committees and boards at Mississippi College School of Law.
