Brandon Wesley Hanna No Longer Registered with Creative Planning Amid Ongoing Broker Misconduct Allegations

Brandon Wesley Hanna, formerly a registered Investment Advisor with Creative Planning in Overland Park, Kansas, is no longer listed with the firm as of July 2024. His departure comes amid serious and ongoing allegations of broker misconduct.

Hanna (CRD#: 6758707) had been with Creative Planning for over six years when he became the subject of two customer complaints, both alleging significant investment-related misconduct, according to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority‘s (FINRA) BrokerCheck.

In March 2020, a customer filed a complaint against Hanna alleging Breach of Fiduciary Duty, Constructive Fraud, Misrepresentation and Omission, and Negligence. The arbitration panel awarded the customer $1,593,119.50 in damages.

A second complaint followed in June 2021, alleging Negligence, Intentional Misrepresentation, Breach of Contract, as well as violations of the California Securities Act, California Business & Professions Code, and the Kansas Securities Act. The damages sought in that case total $15 million, and the claim remains pending.

Brandon Hanna is no longer registered as a broker or investment advisor with any firm or regulatory authority, according to the most recent public disclosures. His removal from Creative Planning and lack of re-registration raises further concerns for investors who may have suffered losses under his guidance.
