In June of 2021, a customer alleged Negligence, Intentional Misrepresentation, Breach of Contract, Violation of California Securities Act, Violation of California Business & Professions Code, and Violation of Kansas Securities Act. Financial Advisors have a duty to put their clients’ interests first and to disclose all relevant information about the securities offered. Each state has its own Securities Act, known collectively as “Blue Sky Laws.” These provisions act as a layer of regulation intended to protect investors from fraud and misrepresentation. While these laws vary by state, typically, they require issuers to register and provide financial details of their offerings. As a result, investors have access to the information required to make informed decisions about purchases. In addition, Blue Sky Laws create liability for issuers that, if violated, can be actionable.

If you have suffered losses at the hands of Brandon Hanna or Creative Planning, you may be entitled to recover damages.
